Hey there, my name is Francisca and I welcome you to “Something about my PhD: The origin of the brain”, a discussion where I share updates about my PhD project.
The first video deals with the general background of my project, specifically about the reason for studying the brain. In the video, I also introduce the animal I work with, the Sea Lamprey (Petromyzon marinus). Mainly I expose the scientific importance of the lamprey, when studying the vertebrate evolution. Therefore, I also give some insights into the vertebrate phylogeny. I hope you enjoy it.
